Video Conferencing

The Office of Instructional Resources provides both IP and ISDN videoconference services for UCF faculty, staff and graduate students for university-related business.

Videoconference requests should be made at least two weeks in advance of the meeting time. Videoconference rooms are available in the Classroom Building and other select buildings across the University and Regional Campuses. Videoconferences can be with other UCF Regional Campuses or non-UCF entities that have videoconference capabilities.

While videoconferencing has become easier in the past few years, OIR does require test connections with off-campus sites at least one week prior to a scheduled conference. Additionally, some conferences require more direct support than others and may require reimbursement from a UCF departmental account. Departmental accounts, not individual or student accounts, are required because not all charges may be realized at the time of the conference.

Videoconferences are only supported during regular OIR work hours. We do not support weekend videoconferences.

To request a videoconference, please contact Don Merritt, OIR Coordinator for ITV and Videoconferencing, dmerritt@mail.ucf.edu. Mr. Merritt will ask that you fill out and return a Videoconference Request Form, made available after contacting him
